How It Works
How Fillis Works — Simple, Tool-Free Installation
Getting fresh air into your home has never been easier. Fillis magnetic screen doors install in minutes with no tools, no drilling, and no damage to your door frame.
Step 1: Measure Your Door
Before installation, measure the width and height of your door frame opening (not the door itself). Most Fillis screens fit standard US door sizes of 32x80 inches and 36x80 inches. Need help measuring? Visit our Size Guide.
Step 2: Clean the Door Frame
Wipe down the door frame surface with a clean, dry cloth. Remove any dust, grease, or debris to ensure the velcro adheres firmly. This step is critical for a long-lasting hold.
Step 3: Attach the Velcro Frame
Peel the backing from the self-adhesive velcro strips included in the package. Press firmly along the top and both sides of your door frame, following the included template. Hold each section in place for 30 seconds.
Step 4: Hang the Magnetic Screen
Align the screen with the velcro frame and press it into place. The mesh panel attaches along the top and sides. The center magnetic strips will hang freely, ready to snap shut after each pass-through.
Step 5: Enjoy Hands-Free Fresh Air
Walk through the center opening and the 26 built-in magnets automatically snap the screen shut behind you in under 0.5 seconds — keeping bugs out and cool air in, every time.
The Technology Behind Fillis
26-Magnet Seal
Unlike cheap single-magnet screens that gap open, Fillis uses 26 evenly spaced magnets sewn along the center seam. This creates a continuous seal that closes completely after every pass-through, no matter the angle of entry.
High-Density Mesh
Our mesh is woven tight enough to block mosquitoes, flies, and other insects while still allowing maximum airflow. It's soft enough to be safe for pets and children, yet durable enough to withstand years of daily use.
Privacy PET Option
Want fresh air without outside eyes? Our Privacy PET Mesh blocks outside views while still allowing airflow — perfect for ground-floor homes and apartments.
