1. How do I install a Fillis screen door?

Installation takes about 2 minutes and requires no tools or drilling. Each Fillis screen comes with a full-frame velcro kit. Simply peel and stick the velcro frame to your door frame, then attach the magnetic screen. That's it — no screws, no damage to your door frame.

2. What door sizes do Fillis screens fit?

Most Fillis screens are designed to fit standard US door sizes (32x80" and 36x80"). Always measure your door frame opening before ordering. Check our Size Guide for detailed measuring instructions.

3. Is the mesh safe for pets and kids?

Yes. The mesh is made from soft, flexible fibers that won't scratch or harm pets or children. The magnetic closure snaps shut gently and automatically — so even if your dog or cat runs through, the screen closes right behind them.

4. What is the Privacy PET Mesh?

Our Privacy PET Collection features a specially woven mesh that blocks outside views while still allowing airflow. It's ideal for ground-floor homes, apartments, and anyone who wants fresh air without sacrificing privacy.

5. Does Fillis ship to the entire United States?

Yes! We offer free standard shipping on all US orders over $35. Most orders ship within 2–3 business days from our U.S. warehouse and are delivered within 5–7 business days after shipment. Custom made-to-order screens ship from our production facility in China — please allow 7–10 days for production and dispatch, with delivery typically 7–21 days from order.

6. What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day hassle-free return policy. If you're not completely satisfied with your Fillis screen door, simply contact us within 30 days of delivery and we'll arrange a full refund or exchange. See our Shipping & Returns page for full details.

7. My screen keeps falling down — what should I do?

Make sure the velcro surface is clean and dry before installation. Press firmly along the entire frame for at least 30 seconds to ensure a strong bond. If the issue persists, please contact our support team and we'll send you a replacement kit free of charge.

8. Does the magnetic screen door keep bugs out?

Yes. The high-density mesh acts as an effective barrier against mosquitoes, flies, and other insects. The 26-magnet center seal closes instantly after each pass-through, leaving no gap for bugs to enter.

9. Can I use Fillis on a sliding door or French door?

Fillis screens are designed primarily for standard single hinged doors. For sliding doors, patio doors and extra-wide openings, our Custom Size Sliding Magnetic Screen Door is made to your exact measurements — pick a width range, enter your exact size, and order online.

10. How do I contact customer support?

11. My door is 37 inches wide — will a 36x80 screen fit?

Measure your door frame opening, not the door itself. The mesh needs about 1 inch of overlap on each side to seal properly, so a 36x80 screen fits openings up to about 36" wide. If your opening falls between standard sizes, our custom size screen is made to the inch — often the better choice than forcing a near-fit.

12. I'm renting — will the velcro damage the paint when I remove it?

The adhesive is strong enough to hold the screen for a full season but is designed to come off clean from cured, well-bonded paint. To remove: warm the velcro strip briefly with a hair dryer, then peel slowly at a low angle. On fresh paint (less than 30 days old) or flaking surfaces, test a small corner first.

13. Can I install a Fillis screen between my storm door and front door?

Usually yes. The screen and its magnetic strips are slim — if there is at least 1 inch of clearance between the closed storm door and your door frame, the screen will fit without rubbing. Measure the gap with the storm door closed before ordering.

14. How should I store the screen in winter?

Take the mesh panel down (leave the velcro frame on the door frame — it can stay up year-round), let it dry fully, then roll it loosely and store it indoors in a dry place. Avoid folding it hard along the magnets. Reinstalling in spring takes under a minute.

15. How do I clean the mesh?

Vacuum it with a soft brush attachment, or wipe it with lukewarm water and a little mild soap, then let it air-dry completely before use. Do not machine-wash, tumble-dry, or use bleach — these can damage the mesh fibers and magnet seams.

16. Do you offer custom sizes?
